"Has anyone found a reliable google maps scraper that actually works?"
Seriously, I’ve tried like 5 different tools and they all either get blocked after 10 minutes or give me garbage data.
Anyone got a *real* solution? Not just some overhyped trash that claims to scrape but fails miserably?
And don’t even get me started on captchas… ugh.
If you’ve got a google maps scraper that *actually* works without needing a PhD in anti-bot tech, spill the beans. Free or paid, idc at this point. Just need something that doesn’t suck.
Bonus points if it doesn’t require 50 proxies to run.
Thanks in advance, y’all. 🙏
I feel your pain! I wasted so much time on junk scrapers before finding Phantombuster. It’s not free, but it’s the only google maps scraper that’s worked consistently for me.
Handles captchas pretty well and doesn’t need a ton of proxies.
Downside? It’s a bit slow, but at least the data is accurate.
Yo, try ScraperAPI. It’s a paid tool, but they handle all the blocking and proxy stuff for you.
I’ve used it for google maps scraping, and it’s way better than those sketchy free tools.
Only thing is you gotta tweak the settings a bit to avoid timeouts.
Honestly, most google maps scrapers are trash. I ended up building my own with Python + Selenium.
If you’re not techy, check out Outscraper. It’s pricey but actually works.
Captchas are still a pain, but their API is solid.
Octoparse has a decent google maps scraper template.
It’s not perfect, but it’s way better than the others I’ve tried.
You’ll still need a couple proxies, but nowhere near 50 lol.
I’ve had luck with Apify’s google maps scraper.
It’s cloud-based, so no setup crap. Just paste your URLs and let it run.
Might get blocked if you go too hard, but for moderate scraping, it’s golden.
Lol @ “PhD in anti-bot tech” 😂
Seriously though, try ParseHub. It’s not just for google maps, but their scraper handles it pretty well.
Free tier is limited, but the paid version is worth it if you need clean data.
Dude, just use Bright Data (formerly Luminati).
It’s expensive AF, but their google maps scraper is bulletproof.
They handle all the proxy rotation and captcha solving for you.
If you’re okay with coding, check out Scrapy + rotating proxies.
It’s a hassle to set up, but once it’s running, you can scrape google maps without getting blocked every 5 mins.
Thanks for all the suggestions! Gonna test out Phantombuster and Octoparse first.
If those fail, I might just bite the bullet and try Bright Data.
Appreciate the help, y’all. Saved me from another week of wasted time. 🙌
