Title: Anyone else can't do survey on linux once human reddit? What's the deal?

Hey y'all,

So I keep running into this issue where I can't do survey on linux once human reddit. Like, the page loads fine, but the survey just won’t show up or errors out.

Anyone else hit this wall? It’s super annoying, especially since it works fine on Windows.

Is it a browser thing? Tried Firefox and Brave, same result. Or is reddit just being weird with Linux?

Kinda frustrating—any workarounds or fixes? Or am I just doomed to miss out on these?

Thanks in advance!

(Also, sorry if this has been asked before—searched but didn’t find much.)
Hey! I had the same issue where I can't do survey on linux once human reddit. Turns out it’s a known thing with some user-agent strings.

Try spoofing your user-agent to mimic Windows Chrome. There’s a Firefox extension called "User-Agent Switcher" that might help.

Also, check if disabling strict tracking protection in Brave fixes it. Reddit’s survey system can be weirdly picky.

Let me know if that works!
ugh, yeah, the can't do survey on linux once human reddit thing is a pain.

I switched to Librewolf (a Firefox fork) and it worked for me after tweaking some privacy settings.

Alternatively, you could try a VM with Windows just for surveys, but that’s kinda overkill.

Reddit’s gotta fix this tho, it’s ridiculous.
Yo, same problem here. can't do survey on linux once human reddit either.

Found a workaround: use a mobile user-agent. Install "User-Agent Switcher and Manager" in Firefox, set it to Android Chrome, and reload.

Surveys popped right up after that. Weird fix, but it works.
This is 100% a Reddit issue. They don’t properly support Linux for some surveys.

I’ve seen folks say using Chromium with --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0)" fixes the can't do survey on linux once human reddit problem.

Also, clearing cookies/cache sometimes helps. Super annoying, but not much else to do until Reddit fixes it.
Man, I feel you. can't do survey on linux once human reddit either and it’s so frustrating.

Try this: open Reddit in a private window with all extensions disabled. Worked for me once, tho it’s hit or miss.

If all else fails, maybe try a different distro? I’ve heard Ubuntu works better for some reason.
Thanks for all the suggestions, y’all! Tried the user-agent switcher in Firefox and it kinda worked? Still glitchy tho.

Weird that Reddit’s so finicky with Linux. Gonna test the mobile user-agent trick next.

Appreciate the help—this has been driving me nuts!
Hey, had the same issue where I can't do survey on linux once human reddit.

Installing the "Header Editor" extension and forcing Reddit to serve the desktop site fixed it for me.

Also, check out this thread on r/linuxquestions—lots of similar fixes there: [link]. Hope that helps!
