"Is using a runescape osrs bot worth the risk these days?"

Hey guys, been thinking about botting lately but lowkey scared of getting banned. I know Jagex has cracked down hard, but some ppl still swear by certain runescape osrs bot clients.

Anyone got recent experience? Like, are the detection systems way better now or is it still kinda hit or miss?

Also, if you’ve used one recently—what’s the safest way to avoid bans? Short sessions? Proxy? Or just not worth it at all?

Kinda torn between saving time and losing my acc lol. Pls share ur thoughts or horror stories.

*(Edit: Not asking for specific bot names, just general advice!)*
Honestly, it’s a gamble. Jagex’s detection is way better than it used to be, and I’ve seen friends get slapped with bans even for short sessions.

If you’re gonna risk it, avoid free runescape osrs bot clients—they’re usually detected fast. Paid ones *might* last longer, but no guarantees.

Proxy helps, but if your main goal is to keep the account, maybe just grind manually. The ban waves are brutal lately.
I botted for like a week last month using a “low-key” runescape osrs bot, and my account got perm banned within days.

Jagex isn’t playing around anymore. Their systems flag weird behavior super quick, even if you’re not botting 24/7.

My advice? Not worth it unless you’re okay with losing the account. Just play legit or take breaks if the grind’s too much.
Depends on what you’re botting tbh. Some skills/activities are riskier than others.

I’ve heard people have success with runescape osrs bot scripts that mimic human behavior (random delays, breaks, etc.), but even those aren’t foolproof.

If you’re desperate, maybe try a private script or a less popular client. But again, no such thing as “safe” botting these days.
Lol @ everyone saying “just don’t bot.” Yeah, obviously the safest option is to not use a runescape osrs bot, but that’s not what OP asked.

I’ve been using one for farming runs and alching—short bursts, never more than 2-3 hrs a day. No ban yet, but I’m prepared to lose the account.

Key is to not get greedy. If you’re botting 12 hrs a day, you’re asking for it.
Honestly, the risk/reward just isn’t there anymore. Jagex has gotten way better at detecting runescape osrs bot activity, even with proxies or “human-like” patterns.

I’d say focus on AFK methods or multitasking instead. Stuff like fishing or NMZ is boring but safe.

If you *must* bot, at least use a VPN and keep sessions under an hour. But again, no promises.
Thanks for the input, everyone. Sounds like the consensus is that it’s *possible* but super risky.

Think I’ll test a runescape osrs bot on a fresh alt first and see how long it lasts. If it gets banned fast, I’ll drop the idea.

Anyone got tips on what activities are *least* likely to trigger bans? Like, is woodcutting or fishing safer than combat?
I’ve seen mixed results. Some guildmates swear by certain runescape osrs bot clients and haven’t been banned in months, while others get hit instantly.

Biggest tip? Don’t bot on an account you care about. Use a throwaway and see how long it lasts.

Also, avoid botting high-risk skills like agility or thieving—those seem to get flagged faster.
