"Need Help: How to Turn Off iPhone VPN?"

Hey guys, so I kinda messed up lol. I turned on a VPN for some privacy stuff, but now I can’t figure out how to turn off iPhone VPN??

I went into Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, but it’s still showing as connected. Am I missing something? Or is there a quicker way?

Also, does it drain battery if I leave it on? Pls help a noob out 😅

Yo, just figured this out after struggling for way too long. If you’re wondering how to turn off iPhone VPN, here’s the deal:

1. Open Settings
2. Tap General
3. Hit VPN & Device Management
4. Toggle off the VPN connection.

Boom, done.

Weird how Apple hides it, right? Anyway, hope this saves someone the headache I had.

Okay, so I’m not tech-savvy at all… but how do you actually turn off iPhone VPN?

I tapped around in Settings, but it’s still running. Is there a secret menu or something? 😂

Seriously though, I just wanna disable it for now. Any step-by-step would be clutch. Thanks!
Oh man, I feel you! Figuring out how to turn off iPhone VPN can be confusing at first.

Try this:
Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > VPN.
Tap the (i) next to your VPN and hit "Disconnect."

If it’s still stuck, sometimes restarting your phone helps. And yeah, VPNs can drain battery if left on, so def turn it off when not needed.
Lol Apple really loves hiding stuff, huh? For how to turn off iPhone VPN, it’s usually in Settings > General > VPN.

But some VPN apps (like Nord or ExpressVPN) have their own toggle in the app. So check there too!

Pro tip: If it’s glitching, force-quit the VPN app and try again. Works for me every time.
Yo, quick fix: Swipe down for Control Center and see if there’s a VPN toggle there. Some apps add it for easy access.

If not, the usual path is Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Toggle it off.

Battery drain? Yeah, a tiny bit, but not a huge deal unless you’re streaming 24/7.
Bro, I had the SAME issue. Turns out some VPNs (like Surfshark) don’t fully disconnect from the settings menu.

You gotta open the VPN app itself and hit "Disconnect." Annoying, but that’s how it is.

For how to turn off iPhone VPN, always check the app first if the settings method fails.
If you’re still stuck, try this:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Scroll to "VPN Configurations" (if it’s there)
4. Delete the profile.

This nukes the VPN entirely. Just reinstall it later if you need it again.
Fun fact: Some VPNs (like Proton) have a "Always-on VPN" setting that’s sneaky.

Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > VPN > (i) > and disable "Connect On Demand."

Otherwise, it’ll just reconnect like a clingy ex.
For a no-frills answer:
Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > Toggle off.

If it’s grayed out, your VPN app might be controlling it. Open the app and disconnect there.

Battery drain is minimal unless you’re using a sketchy VPN. Stick to trusted ones!
Weirdly, my VPN (Windscribe) adds a widget to the Today View. Swipe right on the home screen, and bam—instant disconnect.

Otherwise, yeah, Settings > General > VPN.

And nah, battery drain isn’t bad unless you’re gaming or something heavy.
OMG thanks y’all! Didn’t even think to check the VPN app itself lol.

Opened ExpressVPN and hit disconnect—worked instantly.

Still weird that the settings menu doesn’t always control it, but hey, problem solved!

Btw, does anyone know if VPNs slow down WiFi? Mine feels laggy now.
