Has anyone used ipip.net for IP geolocation? How accurate is it compared to other services?

ipip.net is good, but I’ve had some issues with it being off by a few miles, especially in densely populated areas.

For better accuracy, I’d recommend trying out Abstract API. They’ve got a free tier, and their data seems pretty fresh.

As for updates, I think ipip.net updates every few months, but I’m not entirely sure.
