Honestly, I was in the same boat a few months ago with the whole selenium vs playwright debate. Ended up going with Playwright, and I don’t regret it at all. The speed is insane, and the API is so much cleaner.
But yeah, Selenium’s community is unbeatable. If you’re stuck, you’ll find a solution in minutes. Playwright’s docs are improving, though, and their Discord community is super active.
If you’re leaning towards Playwright, I’d say go for it. Just keep Selenium in your back pocket for legacy stuff.
