Oculus proxies are great if you’re into optimizing every little detail of your VR experience. But for most people, they’re probably overkill.
That said, if you’re running into performance issues, they’re worth a try. I used this guide from SteamVR forums (search “oculus proxies setup”) and it worked pretty well.
