Yo, I’ve been using a proxy server on PS4 for like a year now, and it’s been solid for me. Mainly use it to access games early when they drop in other regions.
I use Smart DNS Proxy, and it’s been super reliable. Doesn’t mess with my ping too much, and I can play games that aren’t available here yet. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into that kinda thing.
