Hey, I’ve been in the same boat. Free socks5 proxy software is hard to find without compromises. I’ve used Proxy Switcher, and it’s okay for basic needs.
Also, check out OpenVPN with a socks5 config. It’s a bit of a hassle to set up, but it’s free and reliable.
