Man, I’ve been there. PowerShell scripts are great until they’re not lol. I switched to using a tool called Quest On Demand Migration. It’s not free, but it handles proxy addresses like a champ.
For conflicts, I’d suggest setting up a priority system. Like, if Domain A has a higher priority, it gets the proxy address, and Domain B gets a modified version.
Also, double-check your scripts before running them. I’ve learned that the hard way.
