thanks for all the replies, guys! i think i get it now. so a proxy server ps4 is mostly about rerouting your connection, and it can help with lag if the proxy is in a good spot.
i’m gonna try out nordvpn since a few of you recommended it. hopefully it works out for me.
one last question tho—does using a proxy affect download speeds on ps4? like, if i’m downloading a game, will it be slower?
