Wow, thanks for all the replies, guys! I didn’t expect so many people to chime in. I ended up trying out NordVPN based on the recommendations here, and it’s been working pretty well so far. My ping is definitely better, and I was able to access a game early from Japan, which was awesome.
One question though—does anyone know if using a proxy affects your download speeds? I noticed my game updates are taking a bit longer, but I’m not sure if it’s the proxy or just my internet being slow. Also, thanks for the heads-up about free proxies—I’ll definitely avoid those!
