It’s not the cheapest, but the speed and reliability are worth it if you’re doing anything serious. They’ve got a ton of locations too, which is a huge plus.
For free options, I’ve heard good things about HideMyAss, but I haven’t tried it myself. Just be careful with free ones—they can be hit or miss like you said.
