I’ve been experimenting with the domain .proxy for a small anonymity project, and it’s been working okay.
The main advantage is that it’s not as commonly used, so it doesn’t draw as much attention. But yeah, it’s not a complete solution.
I’d recommend pairing it with something like Tor or a VPN for better results. Also, check out Let’s Encrypt for free SSL certificates—super easy to set up.
