I’ve heard a lot about prozy contact too, but I haven’t tried it yet. I’m currently using Wickr Me for secure messaging, and it’s been awesome.
Wickr is super secure, and you don’t even need to provide an email or phone number to sign up. Might be worth checking out if you’re exploring options.
