Proxy games are 100% the future, imo. They lower the barrier to entry for so many people. Not everyone can drop hundreds on a deck or army, y’know?
I’ve been using Cockatrice for Magic proxies, and it’s been awesome. You can playtest decks for free, and it’s super easy to use.
Sure, it’s not the same as holding real cards, but it’s close enough for casual play. Plus, it keeps the community alive by letting more people join in.
