Hey! I’ve been through this Installing Symantec extension/plug-in struggle too. One thing that helped was resetting Chrome settings to default. It’s under Settings > Reset settings.
If that doesn’t work, Firefox is a solid alternative. It’s less finicky with extensions imo.
