Honestly, I think Shopify Socks5 is overrated unless you’re dealing with serious bot attacks or have a global audience. I tried it for a month and didn’t notice much difference in speed or security. My store’s pretty small tho, so maybe it’s more useful for bigger stores?
If you’re worried about bots, I’d recommend using something like Bot Protection by DataDome instead. It’s way more targeted and easier to set up. Just my 2 cents!
