Honestly, I think the ScreamingFrog security concerns are overblown. I’ve been using it for audits on some pretty big sites, and nothing’s ever gone wrong.
That said, I always make sure to keep the software updated. They patch vulnerabilities pretty quickly, so staying on the latest version is key.
