What helped me was printing out a cheat sheet from shadowrockerfan.com. It lists all the phases and exceptions in a way that’s way easier to understand.
And yeah, the wording is super vague. My group just kinda makes up our own interpretations sometimes. As long as everyone agrees, it works.
