Not sure if this counts, but I’ve used IPs to block annoying ads on my home network. Just set up a Pi-hole (pi-hole.net) and it’s been a lifesaver.
It’s one of those practical things to do with IPs that doesn’t get enough attention. Plus, it’s super satisfying to see all those blocked requests.
