Honestly, the whole blocked vs deactivated instagram thing is such a headache. I’ve been there, and it’s so confusing. One thing I did was use a second account to check if the profile was still visible. If it’s gone on both, they probably deactivated. If it’s only gone on your main account, you’re likely blocked.
Also, there’s this site called InstaDP that lets you check profiles anonymously. It’s not 100% foolproof, but it’s helped me figure out if I was blocked or if the account was just gone.
