How to Properly Set the curl Authorization Header for API Requests?

16 Replies, 1437 Views

Hey! For the curl authorization header, make sure you’re using the right token type. Some APIs use “Token” instead of “Bearer” in the header.

For Basic Auth, `curl -u` is the easiest, but if you wanna set it manually, you’ll need to encode the username:password string in base64.

If you’re still stuck, try using a tool like Paw or Postman to test your requests before running them in curl.
