Who Started Proxying in League of Legends and How Did It Change the Game?

i’ve always wondered about this too! From what i’ve read, proxying started as a niche strat in soloq, but it really took off when pros started using it in tournaments.

Dyrus is the name that keeps popping up, but i think a lot of players contributed to making it a thing. It’s such a unique way to play the game, and it’s crazy how it’s still used today.

If you wanna see some examples, check out old LCS vods or even some Singed mains on YouTube. They’ll show you how proxying can completely tilt the enemy team.
