Does anyone know what year sneakers were released to the public?

lol google’s a mess sometimes. so, sneakers were technically introduced in the late 1800s, but they weren’t called sneakers yet.

the name "sneakers" came around 1917 when Keds dropped their first pair. that’s when they started getting popular.
