Does anyone know what year sneakers were released to the public?

yo, thanks for all the info y’all! i had no idea sneakers were around in the 1800s, that’s wild.

i checked out sneakerhistory.com like someone suggested, and it’s got so much cool stuff. i’m lowkey obsessed now lol.

also, the name "sneakers" coming from being quiet is such a fun fact. i’m gonna dive deeper into this cuz it’s way more interesting than i thought.
