So, I’ve been thinking a lot about SSL inspection lately. Like, is it *really* a security boost or just a sneaky way to compromise our privacy? I get that it’s supposed to help detect threats hidden in encrypted traffic, but doesn’t it kinda defeat the whole purpose of encryption in the first place?
I mean, SSL inspection basically decrypts your traffic, inspects it, and then re-encrypts it. Sounds helpful for catching malware, but what if someone messes up the re-encryption part? Or worse, what if the inspection tool itself gets hacked?
On the flip side, without SSL inspection, we’re kinda blind to what’s hiding in encrypted traffic. So, is it a necessary evil or just plain evil?
What do y’all think? Am I overthinking this, or is SSL inspection really a double-edged sword? Let’s discuss!
