Hey everyone! So, I was just randomly thinking about RuneScape earlier and it hit me—what language was RuneScape written in? Like, I know it’s been around forever, but I never really thought about the tech behind it.
From what I’ve gathered, the OG RuneScape was mostly written in Java. Yeah, Java! Kinda wild, right? But then later on, they switched things up and started using C++ for the newer versions.
Anyone else curious about this stuff? Or am I just overthinking it lol. Also, does anyone know if they still use Java for anything in the current version?
