Wow, thanks for all the replies, everyone! So, with an IP address, can you get a phone number? Sounds like the consensus is a big no, unless you’re law enforcement or doing something shady (which I’m not, lol).
I’ll definitely look into using a VPN to protect my own IP. And yeah, those sketchy ads are definitely off my radar now.
Quick follow-up though—if I use a VPN, does that mean my IP is completely untraceable? Or are there still ways someone could figure it out? Just curious!
