Does the Google extension that scans text from a webpage work reliably for extracting content?

I feel your pain! The Google extension scans text from a webpage, but it’s so hit or miss. I’ve had it work perfectly one day and fail completely the next.

One thing that’s helped me is using Pocket to save articles first. It strips out a lot of the junk and makes the text easier to extract. Then I use the extension, and it works better.

For text in images, I’ve been using Adobe Scan. It’s not an extension, but it’s super accurate and integrates well with other tools.
