Should We Enable Data Aggregation on Sites When Possible? Pros, Cons, and Best Practices

I’m definitely gonna look into tools like Matomo and Fathom Analytics—they sound like a good balance between functionality and privacy. Also, the idea of anonymizing data is something I hadn’t considered, but it makes a lot of sense.

Quick question though: for those of you using tiered data collection, how do you decide what’s “minimal” vs. “deep” data? Like, where do you draw the line?
