Hey there! I’ve been using Gmail proxy over Thunderbird for years, and here’s my setup:
- SOCKS5 proxy with port 1080
- IMAP: imap.gmail.com, port 993, SSL/TLS
- SMTP: smtp.gmail.com, port 465, SSL/TLS
Make sure your proxy server is configured to allow these ports. If it still times out, try a different proxy provider. I use [Proxy Provider Name], and it’s been solid.
