I tried Match.com / providers a few years ago, and honestly, it was hit or miss. I did meet a couple of people I really clicked with, but there were also a lot of inactive profiles and some that felt fake.
The paid features are definitely better—you can see who liked you and message anyone, which is a big plus. If you're serious about finding someone, I'd say go for the paid version. The free one is pretty limited.
Also, I’d recommend checking out Hinge or Bumble if you’re looking for something a bit more modern. They seem to have fewer fake profiles, in my experience.
