I’ve been hearing about this thing called "what is wifi proxy" lately, and I’m kinda confused. Like, is it some kind of VPN or something? Or is it totally different?
From what I gather, a wifi proxy acts like a middleman between your device and the internet. So instead of connecting directly, your traffic goes through this proxy server first. Sounds kinda cool, but I’m not sure how it works exactly or why someone would use it.
Also, does it hide your IP like a VPN? Or is it more for bypassing restrictions? I’ve seen people mention it for streaming or accessing blocked sites, but idk if that’s accurate.
If anyone can break it down in simple terms, that’d be awesome. Thanks in advance!
