I think it’s a mix of better tools and more people learning how to do it. Like, you can literally buy a proxmark kit on Amazon now, and there are tons of guides online.

If you’re worried about your setup, maybe look into some RFID-blocking gear. It’s not perfect, but it’s a start.

Also, keep an eye on your accounts and enable alerts for any weird activity. Better safe than sorry.
