Hey! I had the same issue with the proxy node protonvpn requiring a username and password chrome thing. Super annoying, right? What worked for me was disabling the proxy settings in Chrome.
Go to Settings > System > Open your computer's proxy settings. Then, turn off anything related to proxies. Restart Chrome and see if that helps. If you’re still stuck, try using a different browser like Firefox to see if it’s a Chrome-specific issue.
