Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! I tried disabling the proxy settings in Chrome and resetting everything, but the proxy node protonvpn requires a username and password chrome popup is still showing up.
I’ll give the ProtonVPN app a shot and see if that works better. Also, I didn’t realize I had another VPN extension installed, so I’ll remove that and see if it helps.
If none of this works, I’ll probably reach out to ProtonVPN support. Thanks again for the help—you guys are lifesavers!
