I think people overhype the whole "is your public ip dangerous" thing. Like, yeah, it’s out there, but most hackers aren’t gonna waste time on random folks unless you’re a big target.
That said, if you’re into torrenting or accessing shady sites, then yeah, hide it. VPNs are worth it for that. I’ve heard good things about ExpressVPN and Surfshark.
But for everyday browsing? Meh, don’t stress too much.
