From what I’ve heard, Riot mostly does account bans for smurfing. IP bans are rare unless it’s something super extreme like boosting or toxic behavior on multiple accounts.
I think they avoid IP bans because, like you said, it can mess up shared networks. But yeah, smurfing is annoying, so I get why people want harsher punishments.
If you’re worried about getting banned, maybe just stick to one account? Or use a VPN to avoid any risks, but idk if that’s against their TOS.
