Socks 5 configurator issues are the worst, lol. For auth, I’d say keep it simple—username/password is usually enough unless you need something super secure.
For tools, I’ve had good luck with ShadowSocks for testing. It’s not exactly a socks 5 configurator, but it’s close enough for debugging.
