I’ve been dealing with this too! It’s super annoying, especially when you’re multitasking. I don’t think it messes with your stats, but it’s definitely a bug they need to fix.
One thing that worked for me was switching to a different browser. Chrome was acting up, but Firefox handled it better. Maybe give that a try?
