Anyone else running into a persistent proxy error? How did you fix it?

Same here! It’s been driving me crazy too. I think it’s a server-side thing because nothing on my end fixes it permanently.

I’ve been using a proxy switcher extension for Chrome (like FoxyProxy) to toggle between proxies when the error pops up. It’s not perfect, but it gets me through the day.
