Same boat here! Proxy error with network is the worst. I fixed mine by clearing my browser’s SSL state. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Clear SSL State. It’s a weird fix, but it worked for me.
Also, try using a different device to see if the issue is specific to your laptop. If it’s happening on multiple devices, it’s probably a network problem.
