Yeah, schools can totally ban proxies. They usually have IT teams that blacklist proxy URLs or even block IP ranges associated with them. Sometimes they use deep packet inspection (DPI) to detect proxy traffic, which is like next-level blocking.
If you’re trying to bypass the firewall, you might wanna look into VPNs instead. Some VPNs are harder to detect, especially if they use obfuscated servers. I’ve had luck with NordVPN and Surfshark, but YMMV.
Also, if you’re just trying to watch YouTube, maybe try downloading videos at home and watching them offline? Just a thought.
