Wow, thanks so much for all the suggestions, everyone! I tried increasing the proxy_read_timeout and checked my backend server logs—turns out it was a DNS resolution issue like someone mentioned.
I also used the NGINX Config tool, and it helped me clean up my config file. Everything’s working now! You guys are lifesavers. 🙌
