Can OpenVPN Proxy Protocol Enhance Privacy and Security for Remote Connections?

Hey everyone,
So I’ve been digging into the OpenVPN proxy protocol lately, and I’m kinda curious—does it actually make remote connections more secure and private? Like, I get that OpenVPN itself is solid, but adding the proxy protocol into the mix... does it really add extra layers of protection?

Also, how does it handle stuff like IP masking or preventing leaks? I’ve heard mixed things, and tbh, I’m not entirely sure if it’s worth the setup hassle.

Anyone here using OpenVPN proxy protocol for their remote connections? Does it actually enhance privacy, or is it just overkill? Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences!

Cheers!
