Thanks for all the replies, y’all! Sounds like Proxychains Steam is a bit too risky and inconsistent for what I need. I’ll probably go with a VPN instead—leaning towards ExpressVPN or NordVPN based on your suggestions.
Has anyone tried using a VPN with Steam for multiplayer games? Does it mess with your ping too much? I’m mostly into FPS games, so latency is a big deal for me.
Also, if anyone’s got tips for setting up a VPN with Steam, pls share! I’m a total noob at this stuff.
