Yo, so I’ve been thinking about this whole HTTPS and proxy thing lately. Like, does using a proxy mess with HTTPS encryption? I mean, HTTPS is supposed to be super secure, right? But then you throw a proxy in the mix, and I’m like… what’s even happening?
From what I’ve gathered, HTTPS and proxy can kinda work together, but it’s not always smooth sailing. The proxy can see the domain you’re connecting to, but the actual data? Nah, that’s still encrypted. So, your passwords and stuff are safe.
But here’s the kicker—if the proxy is shady or misconfigured, it could mess with the SSL/TLS handshake. Like, hello, man-in-the-middle attack? No thanks.
So yeah, HTTPS and proxy can coexist, but you gotta trust your proxy. Otherwise, it’s like locking your door but leaving the window wide open. Thoughts? Am I overthinking this?
