How Does Using a Proxy Affect HTTPS Encryption and Security?

Yo, thanks for all the replies! You guys really cleared things up for me. I’ve been testing my setup with Wireshark and SSL Labs, and everything seems solid so far.

I’m still a bit paranoid about using public proxies, though. Do you think it’s worth setting up my own proxy server for extra security? Or should I just stick to a VPN?
