I’ve been using a telegram proxy called FastTele for a while now, and it’s been pretty good. It’s MTProto-based, so it’s optimized for Telegram.
The speeds are decent, and I haven’t had any major issues. They have a free version, but the paid one is way faster.
If you’re new to this, I’d say stick with MTProto. SOCKS5 is fine, but it’s not as good for Telegram specifically.
